Work in front of the computer all day generating reservoir models? Trained as an engineer and trying to work out how geologists think? Want to understand how modern systems work to conceptualise your depositional model?
We offer courses to petroleum industry professionals which take you away from the computer and out into the field to get your hands dirty on world class outcrop and get your feet wet in modern systems. We take our students to places such as Hervey and Moreton Bay where you'll cruise on a yacht, to Canarvon Gorge where you'll hike through a Triassic landscape or the South coast of NSW where the sea view might distract you from the perfectly exposed fluvial sandstone. You'll consolidate this with time in the core store and lectures at night to improve your knowledge and skills.
Our staff and visiting lecturers are experienced educators from the consulting and academic fields who have diverse skills but all with extensive field backgrounds. We organise all the logistics, provide great food and operate to the highest standards of occupational health and safety so you can concentrate on learning.
